Consumer bureau to police debt collectors

Many people and small businesses have, at one time or another, had a debt that has been turned over to collections.  And you know what, it is OK.  It has happened to the best of them, and with the economy the way it has been for the past five plus years, it is not totally unexpected.  But, the real problem has been the harrassing calls, and poor treatment and miscommunication between debt collection companies and the people. 

Finally, the US Government is taking action and will be policing these agencies to ensure they are staying in compliance of the laws that are in place to protect the citizens.
